Below the Belt Pedalthon

    September 2023

This month we’re supporting Australian and New Zealand Urogenital and Prostate (ANZUP) Cancer Trials Group. It’s a charity that conducts clinical trials research to improve treatment of bladder, kidney, testicular, penile and prostate cancers.

CeremonyCast’s Jason de Plater is raising money in the Below the Belt Pedalthon. All proceeds from Below the Belt events and activities support ANZUP Cancer Trials Group to improve the lives of people affected by bladder, kidney, testicular, penile, and prostate cancers through practice-changing multidisciplinary collaborative clinical trials. This group of cancers are called urogenital cancers, but we refer to them as below the belt cancers.

In 2022, 33,107 new cases of below the belt cancers were estimated in Australia and 4,502 in New Zealand.

It can be challenging to obtain the initial funding required to move a concept through to being a viable clinical trial. That’s why the ANZUP Below the Belt Research Fund was established to help great ideas develop further. Any investment goes directly to the Belt the Belt Research Fund to support ANZUP trials to improve outcomes for people with below the belt cancers.

Jason writes, “I want to make a difference. I’m inspired by the work of ANZUP Cancer Trials Group Ltd and wanted to support them by raising money as part of my participation in 2023 Below the Belt Pedalthon, Sydney.

Please help me help them by giving whatever you can using the ‘Give Now’ button. The more people that know about ANZUP, the greater their impact, so please also spread the word by sharing my page with your friends and family.

Thank you in advance for your generosity, it means a lot!”

CeremonyCast is proud to support a range of Australian charities helping people through different life issues.

We see at first-hand the inspiring work they do in the community by helping people to navigate grief and bereavement, offering practical care after someone dies, reaching out to those in personal crisis, guiding those on their final journey, or advocating on important issues. We are glad to give back by regularly donating to these deserving causes.
