Great Cycle Challenge

    October 2023

    JDP and Bike

This month we’re supporting CeremonyCast’s Jason de Plater who is fund raising for the Great Cycle Challenge Australia. This charity raises money to fight cancers in young children. So far Jason has raised more than $3k and cycled almost 200km.

“This October, I am taking part in the Great Cycle Challenge to fight kids’ cancer!
Because right now, cancer is the largest single killer of children from disease in Australia – over 600 children are diagnosed with cancer every year and sadly, 3 die every week.
Kids should be living life, not fighting for it.
And so I am riding and raising funds to support the Children’s Medical Research Institute to continue their work into the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and finding a cure for childhood cancer.
Please support my challenge by making a donation through my fundraising page to give these kids the brighter futures they deserve.
Together, we can save little lives.”

Great Cycle Challenge started in 2013, and after 10 years, the event has grown to become one of the biggest cycling events in Australia.

People of all ages, abilities and from every state across the country set themselves a personal riding goal and challenge themselves to pedal throughout October to fight kids’ cancer.

In 10 years, our community of 100,975 riders from all 6 states and 2 territories have ridden a total of 29,000,988km, and together we’ve raised $38,734,298 in support of research to develop better treatments and find a cure for childhood cancer.

CeremonyCast is proud to support a range of Australian charities helping people through different life issues.

We see at first-hand the inspiring work they do in the community by helping people to navigate grief and bereavement, offering practical care after someone dies, reaching out to those in personal crisis, guiding those on their final journey, or advocating on important issues. We are glad to give back by regularly donating to these deserving causes.
